First garment of this kind and texture that I have every worn and I love it. I also like the extra long length in the waist that allows you tuck it in without it pulling out of your pants, and it provides a little more warmth to your torso if you use as sleeping shirt. I wore this recently on winter backpacking trip in Utah (25 degrees and 15 knot winds) as the base layer, under polypropylene shirt, and fleece with light wind jacket. I opened underarm vents on wind jacket. After 10 mile hike, this Wool Thermo Mesh kept my body dry and warm … while wicking moisture into the poly shirt and fleece so effectively that the fleece was soaking wet with mesh relatively dry/damp. This is lightweight, comfortable and soft against my skin, and very functional. I intend to make it a permanent part of my backpacking essentials. Be careful in following the washing and drying instructions as this wool will shrink or distort in a traditional washing machine or dryer.
